I’m excited to introduce a new feature on InfiniteQueso: A monthly book giveaway!
Two years ago I read a book that changed my whole outlook on life: The Hole in Our Gospel, by Richard Stearns, president of World Vision.
I’d like it to change your life too! So the first book I’ll give away will be The Hole in Our Gospel. The Hole in Our Gospel won the 2010 Christian Book of the Year Award. If you’d like to read my brief review of the book, click here.
If you would like to be entered in a drawing for a free paperback copy of this book, simply leave a comment below during the month of August, letting me know why you’d like to read it. I’ll draw a name randomly on September 1, and send the book to the winner, free of charge. Only one entry per person, please.
Speaking of books…
After taking July off, I’m now picking back up with the InfiniteQueso Book Club. August’s selection is Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. This is definitely my most ambitious entry yet! Not sure I can get through the whole novel in one month. But I would love for you to join me in reading (or re-reading) it and processing it with me at the end of August.
FYI, I downloaded a free Kindle version of the book from Amazon. Just click here to get yours.
Hi Steph! I've heard so much about this book and would love to read it because I've heard so much about it. Does that count? Good luck with Anna Karenina! I started it one summer, but then went on vacation to Australia and didn't want to take a book that big with me and didn't finish it when I got back. I really enjoyed it while I was reading it :-) Also, have you read Radical? I'm in the middle of it an really like it. Also Waking the Dead is VERY interesting. I think you would like it :-) Alright, that's all for now. Good night!
ReplyDelete@Katrina, that totally counts! :)
ReplyDeleteVacation to Australia? Cool! That's why I like the Kindle version, though.
I own Radical, but haven't read it. Platt spoke at our recent staff conference...I thought he was really good. Have not read WTD. I'm kinda over Eldridge. Is WTD better/different than his other stuff?
I would love to read this, and find out more about World Vision.
